I’ve always been drawn to the challenge of simplifying and automating processes—and at the heart of every one of those challenges has been data. In my early twenties, I taught myself to code. I had no ambitions of becoming an entrepreneur, but I recognized a challenge at the secondary schools: they were struggling with the preparation of transcripts after five years of student records. The solution, at least to me, seemed obvious—why wait until the end to start compiling and reviewing the integrity of the data?

Consequently, I built an application called DR-List (DR for my initials), which was adopted by Castries Comprehensive (my alma mater), St. Joseph’s Convent, and Hess Secondary. I went on to develop applications for the St. Lucia Planned Parenthood Association and Windward Island Gases during that time.

My investment in these efforts was not just about writing code. It was about allowing others to work more effectively while enhancing overall work conditions. It was about working smarter, and facilitating information-sharing. Also, work should not be a test of how much drudgery a person can endure. Every process can—and should—be improved.

Many years later, this belief still drives me.

I have impacted prominent organizations in a similar manner but from a senior leadership position. Through these roles, I have come to understand what it takes to align daily efforts with an organization’s broader strategic goals. The timing seems right; in fact, there is no better time than now for us to embark on that deliberate, collective, strategic mission to develop St. Lucia's data ecosystem. I am ready! Are you?

More about CIVIC 758 Mission
I provide organizations with the expert assistance required to transition from a fragmented data strategy to one that makes the most effective use of their current business applications, plus emerging technologies, to create a single unified view of the organization's performance.

My focus is on building a sustainable, data-driven culture, led by data conscious leaders, that improves operational visibility, and elevates the organization’s ability to draw conclusions, drive informed decisions-making and make predictions.
By establishing the above as a groundwork for meaningful AI adoption, I enable organizations to unlock innovation faster, empower teams by allowing them to focus on what really matters, and drive overall, long-term growth.
